Frankston Mechanics Institute

Frankston City Council undertook a major reconstruction and refurbishment of the Frankston Mechanics Institute; a heritage listed building, and appointed HTPS as Project & Construction Manager to oversee all project and construction works.

The project included a ground up reconstruction of the rear of the building and extension of the hall. Also included were new facilities such as stage and backstage areas, a kitchen and toilets, new carparking, and front landscaping.

A major challenge as with all heritage restorations is ensuring the facility is brought into current compliance with the building code and DDA. The residents of Frankston continue to enjoy the use of the newly renovated hall with improved facilities.
